From the Ballot Box to the Office: A Comedy of Firsts in 2007!

Excitement and a sense of duty filled my heart as the sun rose on this fateful day. With my beloved siblings Bevs and Kristofer by my side, we embarked on a journey to shape the future of our community.

The streets were quiet, yet I could feel the buzz of anticipation in the air. By 8:00 a.m., my mind had already focused on the task ahead. The election for local government and the senate was upon us, and I knew that my vote could make all the difference.

As we made our way to the polling station, I couldn't help but think of my partner, Arcy, who had already set off for Nueva Ecija at the crack of dawn. Despite the early hour, he had a full day of work ahead of him, but he still made time to exercise his right to vote.

With every step, my heart beat faster, and my resolve grew stronger. This election was a momentous occasion, a chance to shape the future of our community, and I was determined to make my voice heard.

As we arrived at the polling station, I took a deep breath and stepped forward to cast my ballot. It was a small action, but it held within it the power to change the course of history. And as I walked away, I felt a sense of pride and hope for the future, knowing that I had done my part to shape the world around me.

Here is the list of senators I voted for:
1. Manny Villar
2. Joker Arroyo
3. Kiko Pangilinan
4. Ralph Recto
5. Koko Pimentel
6. Sonia Roco
7. Chavit Singson
8. Migz Zubiri
9. Prospero Pichay
10. Noynoy Aquino
11. Mike Defensor
12. Vic Magsaysay

As the clock struck ten, I entered the Accenture Delivery Center, feeling nervous and excited. Warm smiles and kind introductions greeted me, especially from the management group. Their hospitality was a breath of fresh air, and I felt welcomed into the fold from the get-go.

As I made my way to the operations floor, however, I couldn't help but notice the stark contrast between this new environment and my previous workplace. The atmosphere was dry, lacking the buzz of energy I had grown accustomed to at IBM. The workstations were plain and simple, with strict rules against personalization.

Despite these differences, I remained optimistic about adjusting to the new culture and thriving in this new environment. I knew that change could be challenging, but I was determined to rise to the occasion.

In the following days and weeks, I threw myself into my work, determined to prove myself and make a name for myself in this new setting. I pushed myself to adapt to the new rules and regulations, learning to navigate the dry atmosphere and finding ways to inject my energy and enthusiasm into my work.

It was sometimes challenging. There were moments when I felt homesick for the familiar faces and surroundings of my old workplace. But with time, I began to find my footing, building new relationships and discovering unique strengths within myself.

Looking back on that first night at Accenture, I realize now how far I have come. I have grown in ways I never thought possible, personally and professionally. I have learned to embrace change and to find joy in the unfamiliar, and I am all the stronger for it.

As I bid farewell to this chapter of my life, I carry the memories and lessons I have gathered along the way. And I am grateful for the experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. Ultimately, it is not the destination that matters, but the journey that leads us there.
